Digest! Actually, back because what little feedback I got was positive. Still, the posts aren't exactly flooding in here, not that I expected them to. Unfortunately, there's some time-sensitive shit here, so I kinda had to send this out instead of waiting for more info. Oh, and thanks to Jeff for the first (okay.. and only) #p/g! Digest post. For those of you asking what the hell P/GEEZER is... basically it's an access level between #P/G!-ER and THE SHIT. It was created so that if the bot locks up the channel (i.e. on it without ops), there would be a decent number of people who could get it to leave. So P/GEEZER gives you the leave command, as well as op and drop, and will probably give access to ban, hose, and get log, eventually. Don't even think about asking for P/GEEZER status. You won't get it. "Important" shit in this issue: John's asking for feedback for a #p/g! movie night in the bulletin board. E-mail him a good time, and let's try and do this (soon, too, my vcr is going home in a week and a half). Also, I've proposed a p/g get together for the end of the month, see my bulletin board post below for details. RushServ Bulletin Board Subjects: 1 #p/g! Movie Night [Slythex] 2 800 Number of the Week [Slythex] 3 Proposed #p/g! get-together [Letterman] -------------------------------------------------- Well, folks, I'd like to schedule a #p/g! movie sometime in the near future. I don't know what my available times are likely to be, and I don't know when YOU folks are interested. Give me some feedback at jsbh@andrew.cmu.edu. I'd like to shoot for sometime next week, a mass viewing of Strange Brew! [Slythex -- jsbh@andrew.cmu.edu] -------------------------------------------------- Last week's winner was 1-800-621-4100, the Home of "Superior Coffees" . The winner of this week's I'm dumb enough to call goes to: Matt "Pills" Phillips . This weeks 1-800 number is.... . 1-800-744-3131 . Who's the lucky winner gonna be this week! (and you have to tell us what it is) [Slythex -- jsbh@andrew.cmu.edu] -------------------------------------------------- Okay, this probably won't pan out or anything, but I'm proposing a #p/g! get-together for HERE, on the weekend of April 28th, 1995 (as in, the last weekend of the month). Basically, we'd center the thing around a trip up to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg (what can I say... I love that place), and we can fill the rest of the weekend with a bunch of random shit in the Norfolk area (oh yeah.. HERE is Norfolk, VA, of course). . Anyway, yes, this IS short notice, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. E-mail me (at the address below) should you be interested. And try not to give me an "oh, I'll go if so-and-so goes" or "I'll go if enough people go"...
